General Eliott  Great BritainHer crew abandoned the West Indiaman in the North Sea after she ran aground without loss of life on the Goodwin Sands during a voyage from Jamaica to London and was rescued by an unidentified vessel (  Denmark–Norway). Later the frigate HMS Astraea and ship of the line HMS Veteran (both Royal Navy), salvaged General Elliot and towed her in to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.[18][19][20]
