This article seems to be mostly lists of "things that happened", without much attention given to their relative importance, and lists of people's names. The first paragraph is much oversimplified and not all that accurate in dealing with the economy, then tries to cover the rest of the world in two sentences. The lead sentence "The 1930s were described as an abrupt shift to more radical andconservative lifestyles..." seems confusing. --CliffC 04:11, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

can you tell me the main things that happened betwen 1933 and 1935???

All right, there are problems with the following passage:

"The decade started off economicably strong, with the stock market rising early in 1930. However, late in 1930, stocks and the economy went up more, and this time it didn't get better. People began to feel the effects of the rising stock market in 1931,..."

First of all, is the first sentence really true? Didn't the depression begin in 1929, which would mean the economy was weak as the 1930s started. Also, the latter two sentences don't make sense economically; I suspect it's vandalism that has (hitherto) gone unnoticed. Someone please investigate.

Why is there hardly anything about Hitler here? There are two brief references to Nazism. That's it. He isn't even mentioned in the world leaders. He may not be a favourite among the world leaders but we can't just pretend he didn't exist. 86.156.2.85 15:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

This said "Socialists proclaim The death of Capitalism". It then cited a subscription page(!) and I couldn't find a better cite for it, esp regarding the 1930's. My suspicion is that it too broad - and is perhaps US-centric in it's broad use of "socialists" - why was the term in italics? I changed to "Communists forecast The death of Capitalism" - with my memory of history, I suspect that might be a little more accurate - but it still isn't properly cited. We need to reach a consensus on the final selection of images included in the 1930s montage on the top of the page through a discussion (and not through edit wars) which would include (hopefully) many Wikipedians.

The current montage is composed of the following images:

A number of details on this page are blatantly unfactual, such as the claim of radio being invented in the 1930s. As such i have applied the "not verified" tag.hello people of thw world

It's all you're fault the page is messed up. I was looking pictures and what do I find? The Empire State Building. I need more pictures.

Radio was invented in the 1890's and was used for communication in the Fisst World War. Television was similarly not invented in the 1930s. Hitler was a big turd! he was such a jerk
