  • I removed the USD and NZD images, as on the other number pages, there is generally just one image. If we added a short section on "Notes and coins", a short collection of images might be nice to add. -- User:Docu

So called

I have now twice changed "so-called" to "so called".

Please note the difference: "This is the so-called champion. He is so called because he is really good." There is a hyphen in the former, not in the latter.

Banknote pictures

Why do we have illustrations of various "50" banknotes on this talk page? As the original uploader of the image of the Bank of Scotland £50, I cannot conceive of a way in which it can be argued to be "fair use" to show these images here. -- Arwel (talk) 19:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

In religion

In Christianity, 50 appears as the number of days from Easter to Pentecost (which is derived from the Greek pentekonta for fifty). In the Bible, it also appears as the first number of righteous people which Abraham pleads for, when God intends to destroy Sodom (Gen 18:24-26).Other occurrences may be relevant.Bcurfs (talk) 04:57, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
