Proposed merge of Classification of rivers in Japan into List of rivers of Japan

repeated information nirmal (talk) 04:49, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

Don't merge: the Classification of rivers in Japan article is more about the administration of waterways, I think it's useful to have this as its own article because a lot of the Japan river articles link to that article to explain the term "Class A". The only repeated info in the two articles is the list of Class A rivers and the fact that Class A rivers are a thing. Since it's a list, I think it would be a bad idea to put all the info from Classification of rivers in Japan into List of rivers of Japan. Tosatur (talk) 07:48, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
In that case, delete the lists and tables from Classification of rivers in Japan and merge that part only with the List of rivers of Japan. Because Class rivers are "a thing", they have their separate articles. Maintaining two articles with same information is a hassle to avoid. nirmal (talk) 01:16, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
