Algerian origin

Why is the very second sentence in the very first paragraph about his 'non-French' origin? Why are you people so racist? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.14.183.101 (talk) 20:19, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Vandalism

I got rid of a giant chunk of the article dedicated to an incident with a mascot. The paragraph was opinionated and poorly written. If anybody wants to try and rewrite it, be my guest. BrokenRev (talk) 21:53, 1 July 2012 (UTC)BrokenRev

If you are unwilling to edit it, don't engage in lazy blanking. Most people will not find the content you deleted so as to fix it up. Do us all a favour and stay off wikipedia. 76.26.220.14 (talk) 23:53, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Assaulting a 14 year old girl

French athlete Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad has gained track and field infamy in the lead-up to the London Olympics.

The 27-year-old had just won gold in the European Championship's 3000 metre steeplechase in Helsinki on Sunday July1, 2012 when audience cheers quickly subsided into shock over his subsequent actions.

Rather than appearing happy about his 8.33.23-minute victory, the Algerian-born athlete walked over to the championship's mascot “Appy”, which was being worn by a 14-year-old girl, and smacked a gift bag out of her hands and shoved her with both hands.
