On the interview here https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/peter-sollett-and-victor-rasuk-mad-about-the-boy-86503.html, he doesn't mention that the racial tensions made him stay on the other side of the road. He says no when the interviewer asks that question, he say 'because I was a little kid.
