Be bold - if you know something about Cornwall then put it in! We value your contributions and don't be afraid if your spelling isn't great as there are plenty of spelling and grammar experts on clean-up duty!
Articles on settlements in Cornwall should be written using the standard set of headings approved by the UK geography WikiProject's guideline How to write about settlements.
At WikiProject Cornwall we subscribe to the policies laid down by Wikipedia - particularly civility and consensus building. We are aware that the wording on Cornish entries can sometimes be a contentious topic, especially those concerning geography. You don't have to agree with everything but there is no excuse for rudeness and these things are best solved through consensus building and compromise. For more information see WP:CornwallGuideline.
These pages are not platforms for political discussion. Issues relating to Cornish politics should be restricted to those pages that directly deal with these issues (such as Constitutional status of Cornwall, Cornish nationalism, etc) and should not overflow into other articles.
Most of all have fun editing - that's the reason we all do this, right?!

5x expanded by DDMS123 (talk). Self-nominated at 21:08, 18 April 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/William Bligh; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
I've added the obvious and necessary links. Seems good - is a QPQ needed? More later. Johnbod (talk) 21:46, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
Ok, the first hook checks out, but it seems odd to avoid the famous Mutiny on the Bounty in the hook. The source for the 2nd says it was the only time the government was overthrown by the military - "the only person in Australian history to be overthrown by the military" reads rather oddly, as I dare say the Australian military have done a good deal of "overthrowing" individuals over the years. A reword would be good. Johnbod (talk) 01:29, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Never mind - the 5x rule says: "For DYK purposes, an article is considered new if, within the last seven days, the article has been created in mainspace from a redlink or redirect; expanded at least fivefold in terms of its prose portion" - here the recent expansion is much less than that, so it's no go I'm afraid. Most of your additions (in byte terms) are added references, which are admirable but don't count towards the "prose" numbers. Sorry! Johnbod (talk) 01:34, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
