Les raboteurs de parquet

• ... that Gustave Caillebotte's 1875 painting Les raboteurs de parquet (pictured) was rejected by the Salon for its "vulgar subject matter"?

• Date and length OK, hook OK and confirmed by online reference, image out of copyright. A minor point; should not the date of the painting be 1875, rather than 1876? --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 15:43, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

• Sorry, yes, you are correct. I was thinking about the exhibition (in '76) when writing the hook, but the painting itself was made in '75. I corrected the hook. Cmprince (talk) 16:22, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
