Sorry about the delay. I lost the file in which I had the text and references of the article. I have now found the relevant references and fixed them. I have also added an alternate img. May approve any one of them--Nvvchar. 04:12, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Both images are public domain, free to use on the Main page. The hook fact is exactly confirmed by a book which is viewable on Google Books. The Duplication Detector tool found one significant instance of copying text, with the article's "genetically modified wheat not approved for cultivation anywhere in the world" being too close to the copyrighted Reuter source's "Genetically modified wheat is still not approved for cultivation anywhere in the world." I remember reading that statement in Reuters and then a couple of other sources and thinking, "I've stumbled onto something important here". I think the Reuter's sentence fragment is important enough as is not to try and wordsmith it and get it wrong, so I've re-written the sentence quoting Reuters. I'm suggesting ALT1 as I don't think we need to wl the US. I prefer the 2nd img but it'll be up to the reviewer to make that decision. Good work on changing the text to a quote. ALT1 works as well as the original, but ALT2 is not supported by a specific photo. It could run without a photo. On that note, the parenthetical (pictured) should probably say "example pictured" so that the viewer does not think he is looking at the annual US production, all of it. One more little problem I noticed is that the "Environmental aspects" section's first paragraph has no references at all. There must be at least one reference to meet DYK rules. I fixed the unreferenced paragraph issue. I changed the original hook and ALT1 to say "example pictured" and removed "pictured" from ALT2. I think a picture improves a hook so I'd suggest using one of those hooks, but that'll be up to you (or another reviewer) to decide. --Rosiestep (talk) 17:14, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

This DYK nomination is good to go with either ALT1 and the third image (as my personal preference), or ALT2 with no image at all, because we have no photo to fit the ALT2 hook. Binksternet (talk) 21:41, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
