User:Palladmial/The Wikipedia Picture Book

The Wikipedia Picture Book is like The Longest Wiki-Story and other collaborative fiction, but with an added twist: each blob of text is the caption of a picture. The whole story will then read like a picture book, or an illustrated narrative.

How To Play

  • First, read the story. So you know what's going on.
  • Next, find an image in the Wikipedia Commons or in the Wikipedia imagespace. Alternatively, set this aside and go explore Wikipedia until you find an interesting image.
  • Then, add the image underneath the last image. You can either use extended image syntax, or just use the following:
 [[Image:file name here.jpg|thumb|none|Your caption here]]
  • And that's it! You're done! Now either sit back and wait for someone else, or add in another picture.

Rules that you really should follow

  1. Please keep the caption at least marginally relevant to the picture.
  2. Don't get too carried away with your captions. 8 lines or less at thumbnail size is ideal.
  3. No repeating the same image over and over again.
  4. Free-license pictures only.
  5. No offensive pictures.

...professors armed with rather large textbooks began to use those textbooks to...
...pelt her with unnecessary fact about potatoes and why they loved them so. This unfortunate setback led Gertrude to believe...
...throw random tiger slugs at the calculus-crazed professors and ask Jimbo Wales for...
...a free lift out of this world and into...
...Wikipediworld, where everyone edits Wikipedia. Gertrude's first edit was...
...vandalism. So she Created a sockpuppet acount, and kept...
...writing puppet shows starring her sockpuppet and trying to sell them to producers. However...
