Note: I'm taking a break from editing the Wiki, and I don't know how long it'll last. I still check here once or twice a day in case I've got messages, and may answer a few questions on WP:RD/S, but other than that, do not expect to see much activity from me.

If you need to get in touch with me, I'd prefer it if you e-mail me.

Hello! My name is Michael Madsen, and I'm a 38 year-old male from Kolding in Denmark. My interests include computers and POKéMON. I also enjoy poker (especially Texas Hold'em), although I only play for fun.

I've been a user here since May 10, 2004, although I didn't register until 1-2 weeks later.

On November 21, 2006, I completed the final exam of my course to get an Advanced Computer Science Diploma.

In my spare time, I'm a programmer. I have experience with various BASIC variants (particularly QBASIC/QuickBASIC), Delphi, C#, NSIS and PHP, as well as minor knowledge of a few other languages.

I release some of my programs as Birdiesoft. So far, all of them are freeware, and the two that are listed on Tucows are enjoying high popularity there (one of them consistently lying in first place in its category).

The name Birdiesoft comes from the nickname I gave my favorite POKéMON, Pidgeot - Birdie (I was hooked on Mario Golf at the time).

On a completely unrelated note, a reading test I took on July 22 revealed my reading speed to be 692 wpm - on a monitor, that is. Additionally, the Danish TV show Test Nationen, a nationwide IQ test conducted on September 10, 2005, revealed my IQ to be 153, with a raw score of 53 out of 60. The person on the show with the highest IQ, Lasse Rimmer, had an identical raw score, but has an IQ 3 points higher than mine due to age difference.
A Mensa test I took on March 7, 2006 has supported this partially, since I got 45/45 correct, meaning my IQ is at least 135.

If there is anything you wish to know about me, feel free to ask on my talk page, or send an e-mail.
