Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Celine Dion, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

It's really nice that you wanted to fix that, and your concern for typos is something that could definitely be useful elsewhere on the encyclopedia! You might find the page Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines helpful to read before editing talk pages further, especially the section "Editing others' comments". Also, please consider using an edit summary to help other editors know what changes you made and why! Princess Lirin (talk) 04:45, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not delete or alter legitimate talk page comments from other editors, as you did at Talk:Charles II of England. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Callitropsis🌲[talk · contribs] 02:06, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

I'm sorry I what did I delete in Millie Bobby Brown talk page? If I did, it was probably over a month ago. Why are you telling me this now? shouldn't you have told me sooner? 76.64.181.63 (talk) 02:18, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Editing other peoples' talk page comments

I am troubled by how frequently this behavior shows up in your edit history: rather than for very specific reasons, it is wholly unacceptable to edit other peoples' talk page comments. It is seen as rude: moreover, no matter how trivial it seems, you are essentially putting words in the mouth of other editors that they didn't say. If it continues, it can be considered disruptive and may result in a block. Cheers. Remsense 06:06, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
