Would like to automate fixing some year in Ireland related links, above suggested edit counts, also want to help out with typos. In case the bot is annoying, I removed one of my earlier requests because I realized the guidlines were for mainspace, not all, edits. Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 11:54, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I find myself not wanting to grant this request, not necessarily because the reasoning isn't good, but because of a) an edit-warring block two weeks ago, and b) nearly every thread on their talk page is about a mistake, error, or problem with their editing. Will leave for other comment but my initial reaction is that this will cause more problems than it will solve. Primefac (talk) 11:51, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if I have standing here, but I agree with the above. This person has been an editor for just one month, and their talk page is loaded with problem reports. I do hundreds of semi-automated edits every week (about 15,000 since the start of 2024), and I have had zero (valid) reports of problems with my edits on my talk page in 2024. This editor needs to focus on quality and learning before adding speed to their arsenal. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:29, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Agreed with Primefac. We don't expect perfection here (i.e only a few weeks ago User talk:Pppery#Broken redirects was a valid complaint about a problem caused by my use of AWB), but we do expect a talk page that isn't full of complaints, especially for people only barely above the minima for this permission in the first place. * Pppery * it has begun... 02:06, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I tend to do a lot of tedious editing such as adding stub notices to articles, fixing the spacing of stub notices for the sake of the article being less crammed, cleaning/fixing redirects, etc. AWB would be great for getting tedious tasks such as those done in significantly less time and more efficiently. Not to mention would be greatly appreciated on my part. Thank you for your consideration & have a nice day! (Please @ me when responding, thanks!) ¿VØ!D?  19:52, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Would make fixing typos a lot easier and more efficient since it's automated. ayakanaa ( t · c ) 01:19, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I work with a bunch of music articles on wikipedia focusing on emo. Most of these are often neglected (usually having no edits for years, borderline AfD, etc). I belive AWB would help me make my job easier by automating the tedious tasks involved and more efficient. 49p (talk) 16:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When you say the tedious tasks involved, how are you thinking of using AWB? Primefac (talk) 17:05, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Typo fixing, using the general fixes, and fixing redirects semi automatically are the three tasks I can think of my head currently. These three would help me tremendously. 49p (talk) 18:47, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
