Ardeshir Zahedi

Ardeshir Zahedi, GCVO (Persian: اردشیر زاهدی; 16 October 1928 – 18 November 2021) was an Iranian politician. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1966 to 1971. He was also the Ambassador to the United States between 1960 until 1962 and again from 1973 until 1979. He was also an Ambassador to the United Kingdom between 1962 until 1966.

Zahedi was born in Tehran. His father, Fazlollah Zahedi, was the 36th Prime Minister of Iran. Between 1957 until their divorce in 1964, he was married to Shahnaz Pahlavi. They had one daughter.

Zahedi died on 18 November 2021 in Montreux, Switzerland at the age of 93.[1][2]
