Dorothy Mae Kilgallen (July 3, 1913 – November 8, 1965)[1] was an American journalist and television game show panelist. She started as a reporter for Hearst Corporation's New York Evening Journal. In 1938, she began her newspaper column. It was later syndicated for more than 146 papers. Kilgallen was also a regular panelist on the television game show What's My Line in 1950.

Kilgallen's columns had mostly gossip and news about show business. There was also news about organized crime and politics.

Kilgallen was born in Chicago, Illinois. She died at age fifty-two in Manhattan, New York from a mix of alcohol and barbiturates.
