The Ovambo people (pronounced [ovambo](listen)), also called Aawambo, Ambo, Aawambo (Ndonga, Nghandjera, Kwambi, Mbalantu), or Ovawambo (Kwanyama) are the main ethnic group in Namibia. They are 49% of the population in Namibia.[1]
