Alexander Ypsilantis
Greek general (1792-1828)
Alexander Ypsilantis (1792–1828) was a main participant in the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. He was also a senior officer of the Imperial Russian cavalry during the Napoleonic Wars.
