Alfonso Wong
manhua artist from Hong Kong
Alfonso Wong (Chinese: 王家禧; pinyin: Wáng Jiāxǐ, 1925 – 1 January 2017) was a Hong Kong manhua artist. He also wrote under the pen name "Wong Chak" (王澤; 王泽; Wáng Zé), which is his son's name. He created the comic strip Old Master Q (Lao Fu Zi), which has been published since 1962. He was born in Tianjin, China and moved to Hong Kong in 1960. He had six sons.
Wong died from organ failure on 1 January 2017 in California, United States. He was 91.[1][2]
