Avern Cohn
United States District Judge
Avern Levin Cohn (July 23, 1924 – February 4, 2022) was an American politician and lawyer. He was the United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan from 1979 until his death. He became senior judge of this court in 1999. Cohn was nominated to the court by President Jimmy Carter. He was born in Detroit, Michigan.
Cohn died on February 4, 2022 in Royal Oak, Michigan at the age of 97.[1]
