The reason that birds are excluded from is because there are too many birds alive today to be included in that category, so they need a category of their own. But this isn't to detract from their status as being 100% dinosaurian. After all, we have a category for, , and, but these are all still considered subclassifications of dinosaurs, just like birds are.
