Elias James Corey
American chemist
Elias James "E.J." Corey (born July 12, 1928) is an American chemist. He won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his theory of organic synthesis.
Corey was born in Mathuen, Massachusetts.[1] His parents were Lebanese immigrants. He studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
