An ensemble cast is a group of characters in a work of entertainment (such as a book, movie, television series or theatre) where there is no main character.
In an ensemble cast, all characters are given the same amount of time and storylines. Many films with ensemble casts also use famous actors to play the characters.
Examples of media with ensemble casts are: The Avengers, Murder on the Orient Express, Star Wars, Cats and Friends.
