Jody Powell
White House press secretary to President Jimmy Carter
Joseph Lester "Jody" Powell, Jr. (September 30, 1943 – September 14, 2009) was the White House Press Secretary during the presidency of Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981. Powell later co-founded a public relations firm. He was born in Cordele, Georgia.[1]
Powell died on September 14, 2009 of a heart attack in Cambridge, Maryland, aged 65.[2]
