Catholic cardinal
José Manuel Estepa Llaurens (1 January 1926 – 21 July 2019) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church and Military Archbishop Emeritus of Spain from 1986 to 2003.[1][2] He was born in Andújar, Spain.
He was created Cardinal-Priest of S. Gabriele Arcangelo all’Acqua Traversa by Pope Benedict XVI in a consistory at St. Peter's Basilica on 20 November 2010.[1][2] Because he had already reached age 80, he was not eligible to participate in a conclave.
