Leonardo De Lorenzo
Italian flautist and music educator
Leonardo De Lorenzo (29 August 1875 – 29 July 1962) was an Italian flautist, composer and music educator.
De Lorenzo was born in Viggiano, province of Potenza. He studied flute at Naples. He emigrated to the United States in 1909. He performed with many American orchestras. From 1923 to 1935, he taught flute at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He died in Santa Barbara, California.
