Mikhail Zhelev
Bulgarian athlete
Mikhail Zhelev (Bulgarian: Михаил Желев) (15 July 1943 – 5 January 2021) was a Bulgarian athlete. He was born in Sliven, Bulgaria. He competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics, finishing 6th and in the 1972 Summer Olympics, finishing 12th.[1] He won a gold medal at the 1969 European Athletics Championships.
Zhelev died on 5 January 2021 at the age of 77.[2]
