Richard Williams (animator)
Canadian-British animator (1933–2019)
Richard Edmund Williams (March 19, 1933 – August 16, 2019) was a Canadian–British animator, voice actor, director, and writer. He was best known for being the animation director on Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and for his unfinished movie The Thief and the Cobbler (1993).

He also created the title scenes for What's New Pussycat? (1965), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966), The Charge of the Light Brigade and the intros of the Pink Panther movies.
Williams died of cancer at his home in Bristol, England on August 16, 2019 at the age of 86.[2]
