Rohit Chopra

Rohit Chopra (born January 30, 1982) is an American consumer activist and politician. In May 2018, he became Commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission.[1]

On January 17, 2021, then President-elect Joe Biden nominated Chopra to be director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.[2] He was confirmed by the United States Senate on September 30, 2021 with a 50–48 vote.[3]
