Wang Jingwei
Chinese politician, leader of Wang Jingwei regime (1883-1944)
Wang Jingwei was a Chinese politician who was the president of the Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China and member of the left Kuomintang. Wang was born in Sanshui, Guangdong on May 6th, 1883. Wang joined the Tongmenghui in 1905 taking the nickname "Wang Jingwei" the same year. After the death of Sun Yat-sen in 1925, Wang and Chiang Kai-shek struggled for control over the Kuomintang until 1937 when Wang formed a Japanese collaboration government in Nanjing. He served as head of state for this government until November 10th, 1944 when he died.
