The 2021 Kaohsiung fire happened in a 13-story building in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on 14 October 2021. The fire killed at least 46 people and injured 41 others. Some people were trapped. Average age of the dead was 62. It happened in the early morning. It took about 4 1/2 hours to put out. It is the deadliest fire in the city's history, and the deadliest building fire in Taiwan since the Weierkang Club fire in 1995.[1][2]
