David Lean
British film director (1908–1991)
Sir David Lean (1908–1991) was a British movie director. He was born in Croydon, Surrey. He directed Dr Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia and The Bridge on the River Kwai. He died in Limehouse, east London.
