Flag of Europe
a flag design created by the Council of Europe, then adopted as one of the official symbols of the European Communities and later of the European Union
The Flag of Europe or European Flag,[a] is an official symbol adopted by two separate organisations, the Council of Europe (CoE) as a symbol for the whole of Europe,[2] and the European Union (EU). Its made up of a circle of twelve five-pointed yellow stars on a blue (azure) field.

The design was created in 1955, and officially adopted later that year by the Council of Europe as a symbol for the whole of Europe.[3]
