Lorenzo Sanz

Lorenzo Sanz Mancebo (9 August 1943 – 21 March 2020) was a Spanish businessman. He served as president of Real Madrid Club de Fútbol between 1995 and 2000. In 2006, Sanz purchased Málaga Club de Fútbol. He sold the club in 2010 to a Qatari investor. His son, Fernando Sanz, played for both Real Madrid and Málaga. Fernando was the latter club's president for four years. Sanz was born in Madrid.
In March 2020, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, Sanz tested positive for COVID-19.[1] On 21 March, he died of the disease in Madrid at the age of 76.
