Yes they can be removed. Generally they get removed when people make other changes as they don't really effect anything just by being there. We don't go out of our way to remove any that got missed in the first pass through removing them from articles. That being said I have removed them now. -DJSasso (talk) 12:40, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

FusionSub, you are actually able to update this yourself without an administrator, by using the page Wikipedia:RecentChanges/TOTW however usually Eptalon's bot, Eptabot, updates it automatically every week.
