Simon Wiesenthal
Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter
Simon Wiesenthal, KBE (31 December 1908 – 20 September 2005) was an Austrian Holocaust survivor. He became famous after World War II for his work as a Nazi hunter. Wiesenthal was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985.
Wiesenthal died in Vienna, Austria from natural causes, aged 96.
