Steve Carell

American actor and comedian (born 1962)

Steven John "Steve" Carell (born August 16, 1962) is an American actor and comedian. His father is of Italian and German descent, and his mother was of Polish ancestry.[1] Carell is best known for his comedic work as Michael Scott in The Office and The Daily Show.[2]

He played Andy Stitzer in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Gru in Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 and John Eleuthère du Pont in Foxcatcher. He has appeared on Saturday Night Live.

He starred as Donald Rumsfeld in the 2018 comedy Vice. In 2020, he starred as General Mark R. Naird in the Netflix sitcom Space Force.
