GLONASS
Russian satellite navigation system
GLONASS (Globalnaya Navigatsionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema) is a radio-based satellite navigation system. It is operated by the Russian Defence Forces. It provides an alternative to the United States' Global Positioning System (GPS). These are the only two navigational systems with global coverage. Some receivers can use both systems, giving more accurate locations, more quickly.[1][2]
