Sahle-Work Zewde
President of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
Sahle-Work Zewde (Amharic: ሳህለወርቅ ዘውዴ, born 21 February 1950) is an Ethiopian diplomat. She is the 4th and current President of Ethiopia, the first female to hold the office. She was elected President by members of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly on October 25, 2018.[1]

Sahle-Work was a diplomat, serving as Special Representative of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to the African Union and Head of the United Nations Office to the African Union at the level of Under-Secretary General of the United Nations.[2]
