Agnes Strickland

Poesia batzuk idatziz hasi zuen idazle ibilbidea. Worcester Field, The Seven Ages of Woman eta Demetrius izan ziren lehenengo lanak. Hasiera hartan haurrentzako liburu ugari ere idatzi zituen.

1830. hamarkadan historia aztertzeari ekin zion eta hainbat lan argitaratu zituen; Historical Tales of Illustrious British Children (1833), The Pilgrims of Walsingham (1835), Tales and Stories from History (1836)... Hurrengo urteetan Erregina britainiarren biografiak idatzi zituen^[1].

Thomas Strickland aitaren bidez jaso zuten hezkuntza Agnesek eta haren ahizpek, semeei ematen zitzaien hezkuntza estandarraren antzera. 1832an Agnesen bi ahizpa, Susanna Moodie eta Catharine Parr Traill, Kanadara joan ziren bizitzera eta biek ere Kanadako kolono britainiarren bizitzaren inguruan idatzi zuten eta arrakasta izan zuten^[2].
