1980 ആഗസ്ത് 1 മുതൽ 1996 വരെ ഐസ്‌ലാന്റിന്റെ നാലാമത്തെ പ്രസിഡണ്ടായിരുന്ന വനിതയാണ് Vigdís Finnbogadóttir (Icelandic: [ˈvɪɣtis ˈfɪn.pɔɣaˌtoʊhtɪr] ⓘ; ജനനം 15 ഏപ്രിൽ 1930). ജനാധിപത്യരീതിയിൽ നേരിട്ട് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ലോകത്തെ ആദ്യവനിതാപ്രസിഡണ്ടാണ് ഇവർ.[1] പതിനാറു വർഷം പ്രസിഡണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഇവർ ഏതൊരുരാജ്യത്തെയും വനിതാപ്രസിഡണ്ടായി ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കാലം തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട് ഭരിച്ച വനിതയുമാണ്. ഇന്ന് ഇവർ യുനസ്കോയുടെ ഗുഡ്‌വിൽ അംബാസഡറും Club of Madrid -ലെ അംഗവുമാണ്.[2] ഇതേവരെ ഐസ്‌ലാന്റിലെ ഏക വനിതാപ്രസിഡണ്ടും ഇവർ മാത്രമാണ്.
