Nadia Murad

Nadia Murad Basee Taha (Sorani Kurdish: نادیە موراد باسی تەھا; Arabic: نادية مراد باسي طه‎; born 1993)[1] is a German-based Yazidi-Iraqi human richts activist.[2] She wis kidnapped an held bi the Islamic State for three month.[3] In 2018, she an Denis Mukwege war jyntly awairdit the Nobel Peace Prize for "thair efforts tae end the uise o sexual veeolence as a wappen o war an airmed conflict."[4] She is the first Iraqi tae be awairdit a Nobel prize.[5]
