പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ജർമ്മാനിക് ഭാഷകളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഭാഷയാണ്‌ ഡച്ച് (^ⓘ). 22 മില്യൺ ജനങ്ങൾ മാതൃഭാഷയായും^[1][2], 5 മില്യൺ ജനങ്ങൾ രണ്ടാം ഭാഷയായും^[3] ഇതുപയോഗിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും നെതർലാന്റ്സ്, ബെൽജിയം, സുരിനാം എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലാണ്‌. ഫ്രാൻസ്, ജർമ്മനി എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെയും നിരവധി ഡച്ച് കോളനികളിലെയും ചെറിയ വിഭാഗം ജനങ്ങളും ഈ ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
