వజ్రయానం

వజ్రయానం బౌద్ధ మతంలోని ఒక తాంత్రిక సాంప్రదాయం. ఈ సాంప్రదాయాలు బౌద్ధమతంలో కొన్ని ప్రత్యేకమైన పరంపరల ద్వారా తరతరాలకు అందించబడుతూ వచ్చాయి. ఇది మధ్యయుగపు భారతదేశంలో అభివృద్ధి చెంది టిబెట్, తూర్పు ఆసియా, మంగోలియా, ఇంకా ఇతర హిమలయా దేశాలకు పాకింది. దీనికి సంబంధించిన గ్రంథాలను బౌద్ధ తంత్రాలు అంటారు.^[1] ఇందులో కొన్ని ప్రత్యేకమైన మంత్ర సాధనలు, ముద్రలు మొదలైనవి ఉంటాయి.

వజ్రయాన ధార్మిక గ్రంథాల ప్రకారం ఇది జ్ఞానోదయానికి ఒక మార్గం (యానం). మిగతా రెండు శ్రావకయానం (హీనయానం), మహాయానం (పారమితయానం).
